- Become a label reader. Look to see what the ingredients are in the foods you regularly purchase and be an informed consumer. Look for chemicals, hidden sugars (including corn syrup and corn syrup solids), MSG, dyes, high levels of sodium, unnecessary oils. Sugar is usually given in grams. Divide by 4 and that is the amount in teaspoons. You will be surprised!

Accordidng to the Food Guide Pyramid for anyone at any age, From 3-5 servings (raw is l cup, cooked is ½ cup) of vegetables and 2-4 servings of fruit are recommended each day.
